About the Rotate Image

Sideways or upside-down images are usually the result of the camera's orientation sensor disagreeing with how an app displays the file — the pixel data is stored one way, but an EXIF orientation flag is supposed to tell the viewer to rotate it, and a lot of software either ignores that flag or strips it during upload, leaving the image visibly wrong.

This tool rotates images by fixed 90/180/270-degree increments and applies it directly to the pixel data rather than relying on a metadata flag, so the fix holds regardless of what the next viewer or platform does with EXIF. It processes a whole batch of up to 20 images at once, which is the common case when an entire folder of photos came off a camera or scanner in the same wrong orientation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I rotate multiple images at once?

Yes! You can upload up to 20 images in batch, select the desired rotation angle, and rotate them all simultaneously. They will be packaged into a single ZIP archive.

Does rotating images degrade their quality?

No, the rotation operation is lossless for formats like PNG, and uses standard image transformation processes which do not re-compress or degrade pixels unnecessarily.

Which formats are supported?

We support JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, and TIFF formats for rotation operations.
